Střední Evropa včera a dnes: proměny koncepcí II. (jazyk – literatura – kultura – politika – filozofie)
Konference je pokračováním budované tradice brněnských konferencí o střední Evropě. První se konala v roce 2014 s publikačním výstupem Střední Evropa včera a dnes: proměny koncepcí (2015).
I tato druhá brněnská konference o střední Evropě je zaměřena na sumarizaci a revizi dosavadního stavu komplexního bádání o středoevropské problematice. Koncepce střední Evropy prošly za desetiletí významnými proměnami a byly různě integrovány do aktuálních politických a kulturních kontextů. Tematické zaměření konference bude jednak historické a aplikační, jinak řečeno soustředěné na vývoj pojetí střední Evropy a konkrétní výzkum jevů, které můžeme označit za středoevropské, jednak teoreticko-metodologické založené na analýze proměn obecnějších koncepcí střední Evropy ve všech oblastech uvedených v podtitulu.
Doporučení tematika je ve srovnání s minulou konferencí modifikovaná jen mírně; jinak není tematicky nijak omezena: proto následující věty přijměte prosím spíše jako orientační podněty:

The conference is a continuation of the created tradition of the Brno conferences on Central Europe.
The first one was held in 2014 with the publication output The Central Europe: Yesterday and Todays: Modifications of Conceptions (2015).
The conference on Central Europe also focuses on the summarization and revisison of the contemporary state of complex research in Central Europe.
The conceptions of Central Europe went through several stages during recent decades; they were integrated in various political and cultural contexts.
The themes of the conference should focus both on the history and application concerning the evolution of the conceptions of Central Europe and the concrete research of the phenomena usually labelled as Central European on the one side, and on the theoretical-methodological problems based on the analyses of the modifications of more general concepts of Central Europe in all the spheres mentioned in the subtitle, best of all in mutual permeation, on the other.
The recommended thematic clusters – compared with the preceding conference – are modified only slightly: otherwise the subjects are not limited at all and the following subjects should be understood rather as orientational stimuli:
